HGF Summer Plans

2013.06.16
After a two month hiatus, our NEWS PAGE is back up and running! We will make regular updates to this page, as well as add some new features this summer to our web capacity.

---HGF Michigan is buzzing with activity and ready for summer. Sandy and her crew have three new colts on the ground, with two mares left to foal in July. The stallions have arrived and Head Trainer Maria Lithander is getting settled into her Michigan routine. Barn Manager Molly Reynolds is heading up her competent staff as they prepare to start another "class" of young HGF PREs for sale or for their new owners.

--We have a number of scheduled private and public events at the farm, and will be showcasing the fare from Chef Frederic's newly-licensed on-site Gourmet Kitchen. HGF continues to be a venue of choice for many Michigan charities who have hosted their VIP events at the farm, and we look forward to seeing old friends again this summer-- as well as meeting new ones--and making a difference in the Western Michigan community.

--We will be attending the Dressage by the Bay Show in July again this year, as well as Regional Championships in September. We would like to remind all PRE owners to come and be part of the Dressage by the Bay Breed Show on July 8! Give us a call for more information.

--Our Lendon Gray cilnics will continue in the months of June, July, and September. Please call early to reserve your spot if you are interested in riding. We will only have a few spots available for outside riders each month. PRE Young Horse handler Tom Reed will be at the farm off and on throughout the summer and is available for handling and breed show presentation lessons. Also, we look forward to visiting trainer Daniel Martin from Malaga, Spain, who rides and trains HGF's Encanto. Dani will be with us during the month of August.

--This year, we are happy to announce our HGF "Top Ten" Herd Reduction Sale. Ten top-quality colts and fillies, two years and younger, have been selected for a public sale on Saturday, August 21. A new site is being prepared where interested buyers may look at videos and register to bid. Minimums are set to move stock. All horses will come with X-rays and no advance sales will be allowed prior to the sale. Check back or call us for more information. Sires of sales horses include Grandioso, Bolero, and Cosaco. This is a once-in-a-decade chance to purchase an HGF-bred PRE with award-winning bloodlines of the HGF sires at herd reduction prices.

--Our Open Door: As many of you do, please feel free to make HGF part of your West Michigan tour. We welcome visitors and expect them regularly. Come by and watch the training sessions, meet our staff, and discover the HGF Community. (You can also find us on Facebook on the Hampton Green Forum Group!)
