The HGF Top Ten Auction and Open House is now history and was a success on many different levels. 400 people attended the Open House to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore, and the children were delighted with the ice cream bar, and the special riding acts prepared for them by Molly Reynolds and Rhianna Pankhurst. Handler Tom Reed impressed the crowd with his abilities in the ring with stallion Bolero and fielded many questions from a very interested audience. Head Trainer Maria Lithander rode the young stallion Idolo Americano in his first appearance at an Open House. Chef Frederic prepared his now-famous paella to the delight of all. Local news coverage featured this event on Sunday, and a short video can be seen at

Following the Open House, approximately 150 people stayed to view or participate in the auction of the HGF Top Ten young horses, as featured throughout this summer on[nbsp]Dressagedaily.com [nbsp]and our own[nbsp]www.hamptongreenauction.com [nbsp]website. Following a presentation of sires, the auction was conducted by on-line auctioneer company JKBid.com . Within a few hours, all ten horses were sold to very happy new owners (plus an additional two horses). There were two professional riders from Wellington who bought young horses, several parents of young riders, and a number of pleasure riders. Special recognition and congratulations to Maureen and Clutis Sharpe, PRE Breeders from Hudson, Michigan, who were the successful bidders on four of the Top Ten horses. Maureen and Clutis, parents of Head Groom Molly Reynolds, have a clear vision for their breeding program and have purchased some outstanding young horses to round out their already impressive holdings. Our congratulations to all the new owners! They have joined our newly enlarged HGF family and we hope to be a resource to them as their young horses grow and learn.

Our special thanks to trainer/handler Tom Reed, who sweated through his blazer for the cause, and to his beautiful assistant Chelsea Reed, and to all the HGF Staff who worked long hours to make this sale a success.
