Vaquero HGF

Vaquero is a 2007 gray PRE gelding by Cuatrero IV out of Encina HGF (Idilio II), born at HGF in Fruitport, Michigan. As four-year-old, Vaquero finished in the top 10 at the National Young Horse Championships of Spain, and within the top 5 of the PRE breed. One year later, Vaquero finished again in the top 10, and first of all PRE horses at that level. As a 6 year old, he concluded the season with the third position in SICAB, as the first top-ranked PRE horse bred in the United States.

Partners for five years now, Kerrigan Gluch and Vaquero HGF have been an unbreakable combination with a resume full of podiums. In 2015, Kerrigan took the reins and together they climbed the different FEI levels. As an 8-year-old, Vaquero HGF ridden by Kerrigan won the Bronze Medal at NAJYRC and became the Reserve National Champion.

Their successes continued and in 2016, this duo got selected for the European Tour. They concluded the USEF Young Rider Euro Tour in the ribbons at the Young Riders Nations Cup in Hagen (Future Champions), Germany, capping a six-week tour of Europe that included two international shows. In 2018 they debuted in the U25 level with scores around 68%. Two years later, at their peak of their level, Kerrigan Gluch and Vaquero HGF took home the runner up Title of the Brentina Cup Dressage National Championship.
