From Ocala to Segovia: Santiago HGF Podiums in Final Qualifier for ANCCE PRE Team
With the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Verden firmly in sight (04-09 August), the final CDIYH qualifying event for the ANCCE PRE Team selection took place from June 16-18 at the Centro Ecuestre de Castilla y León (CECYL) in Segovia, Spain. The competition represented the last opportunity for owners, breeders and riders to secure the scores required for selection to the Spanish PRE Team heading to Verden this August. FROM OCALA TO SEGOVIA Following a successful spring campaign in the United States, including strong performances at the CDI Ocala and CDI TerraNova, Santiago HGF made the journey from Florida to Spain for this mandatory selection event. The five-year-old stallion, bred by Hampton Green Farm and ridden by Antonio Crespín, faced a highly competitive field of 12 horses, the largest and most competitive age group of the show. Judged by an international panel consisting of Juan Carlos Campos, Knut Danzberg, and Hans Voser, two of whom will officiate at the World Championships in Verden next month, Santiago HGF delivered another solid performance. The son of Grandioso III x Joyero XXIV finished third in the preliminary test with a score of 77.200% and fifth place in the final with 73.800%. CECYL( Centro Ecuestre de Castilla y León) in Segovia holds a special place in Hampton Green Farm’s history. In 2018, José Daniel Martín Dockx competed there with Mejorano HGF, another son of Grandioso III, obtaining the qualifying scores required for the FEI World Championships in the seven-year-old division. A year later, the pair returned to compete at Intermedia A/B level. The farm also has fond memories of Campanero HGF, who contested the selection process for the five-year-old division at the same venue in 2019. ROAD TO VERDEN The 2026 season has been demanding for young dressage horses, with an intensive calendar and a highly competitive selection process requiring consistency throughout the year. The qualification pathway in Spain included CDI in Jerez de la Frontera, Vejer de la Frontera, Murcia, Medina Sidonia, Madrid, and finally Segovia, where participation was mandatory for horses seeking selection to the ANCCE Team. With the final qualifier now complete, all eyes turn to ANCCE, which is expected to announce its team selection in the coming days.
American-Bred Santiago HGF Leaves Ocala for First Euro Tour
Santiago HGF, a 2021 PRE Stallion by Grandioso III, is making the long journey from his home in Ocala to Segovia, Spain, just outside of Madrid. Santi is currently qualified in the FEI 5 Year Old division for Spain for the Selection Trials for the World Championship of Young Horses. As a member of the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses, ANCCE, the PRE Studbook, establishes the qualifications for their representation at the World Championships, held later in the summer in Germany. Young horses across Spain, as in other European countries, have been vying since January for the minimum scores to qualify for the team. Final selection will be made following the CDI in Segovia, June 16-18, and upon health and soundness verifications. Hampton Green Farm rider Antonio Crespin Lopez and Santi debuted this Spring in Ocala and Terranova at the international FEI 5 Year Old level, achieving high scores over 80% at both shows, which made Santi now the second US-bred horse to ever qualify for Young Horse team selection trials in Spain--the first being Santi's half-brother Mejorano HGF (also by Grandioso III) who competed for Spain in the FEI 7 Year Old Division at Ermelo in 2018 with Jose Daniel Martin Dockx. Santi will now compete alongside top 5 year old representatives from the most prestigious breeding farms in Spain. Santiago HGF was born in Michigan and is a son of two-time Olympic mount Grandioso. He is out of a daughter of Joyero XXIV, an Elite stallion from of the Ganaderia Francisco Santiago in Malaga. Hampton Green Farm's owner Kimberly Van Kampen named the horse in remembrance of the generosity of the mare's breeder to her during her visit to his farm. Prior to starting his dressage career, Santi was Champion Stallion at Fiesta Ocala at Ibericon 2025, and Stallion of the Year for USPRE in 2025.
HGF & Kerrigan part ways after 15 years
Kerrigan Gluch is leaving Hampton Green Farm in Ocala, Florida after 15 years competing the stable’s P.R.E. horses. Kerrigan, aged 29 and originally from Michigan, has competed HGF horses on both sides of the Atlantic. Kimberly van Kampen, the owner of the stable, said Saturday: “Kerrigan is a wonderful person who has been a part of Hampton Green Farm for 15 years. She has treated my horses like they were her own, and she has always been a most trusted friend and accomplished rider. “We support her in any decision she makes for this next chapter in life and look forward to her successes. It’s been a real joy to have been her sponsor all these years.” Kerrigan became the first American to be selected on a pure Spanish horse, Mejorano, for an official USA team for Europe that paid off with a personal best score in the CDIO4* Nations Cup of the Netherlands Grand Prix Freestyle in 2024. She told DRESSAGE-NEWS.com: “The past 15 years with HGF have been truly special. I’ve had the opportunity to grow through the levels, developing not only as a rider but as a professional, while working with some incredible horses and people who have shaped me along the way. I am especially grateful for the unique experiences and travels this journey has given me. I will always value these opportunities. “I am deeply thankful for all the support Kim has given me and will always recognize the significant role she has played in my career. “As I look ahead, I’m excited to take some time to be with family and explore new opportunities. I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next.” Hampton Green hired Jose Daniel Martin Dockx of Spain as the in-house trainer, and he moved to Ocala. The rider competed Hampton Green’s Grandioso, the sire of Mejorano, at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics as well as the 2014 World Equestrian Games and the 2013 and 2015 European Championships. Fabo and Ferro HGF Strengthen Our Breeding Program
At Hampton Green Farm, our breeding program continues to evolve with the addition of exciting stallions and the arrival of a remarkable new generation. Fabo was incorporated into our program in 2025, and his first foals have already made a strong impression. His genetic influence is evident in the wide range of coat colors seen in this year’s crop, including perlino, palomino, buckskin, chestnut, and black. This season, we proudly welcome the first crop of Fabo foals, introducing a whole new palette of colors to Hampton Green Farm. Alongside him, Ferro HGF (2022) has officially joined our breeding program and is now available and for 2027 we Will see the first results. A homebred stallion, Ferro HGF is by Grandioso III out of Graciosa FSR (by Joyero XXIV), making him a full brother to Santiago HGF. He represents the same exceptional Marín García and Escalera bloodlines, combining beauty, functionality, and athletic potential. Ferro stands out for his powerful, expressive canter, natural presence, and strong conformationqualities that make him a highly valuable prospect for both breeding and sport. Currently under the training of rider Kerrigan Gluch, Ferro HGF is developing into a promising future competition horse.

He represents a perfect blend of the Marin Garcia and Escalera bloodlines, bringing together beauty, functionality, and innate sport potential. Ridden by Antonio Crespin, Santiago HGF competed in the Preliminary Year-Old class and impressed the judges with several scores of 8s, earning an overall score of 77.200. Hampton Green Farm welcomes Antonio Crespín as new rider
With the 2026 season on the horizon, Hampton Green Farm (HGF) is taking a major step forward in its international sports project by welcoming Antonio Crespín as its newest team rider. Born in Córdoba, a region with a rich equestrian tradition, Antonio’s passion for the Pura Raza Española (P.R.E.), dressage, bloodlines, and horse breeding runs in his family. From an early age, his father nurtured his equestrian knowledge, setting the foundation for a remarkable career. Since 2018, Antonio has been the main rider at Yeguada Torrehermosa, overseeing a full “360-degree” training program; from breaking young horses to preparing them for high-level competition. A career-defining moment came in 2022, when Antonio, riding Brandy YET, won the Final of the Young Horses Cycle, becoming the only rider to surpass 80% in the six-year-old category. That same year, he continued his golden streak by winning SICAB with Ágora YET in the Young Riders division. Season after season, he has developed the stud’s most promising horses, including Delicada YET, Desafío YET, and Farolillo YET. His most recent competition in Spain took place at the CDN2* in Palma del Río, in the four-year-old category with Legado Al Andalus. A New Chapter in America In September 2025, Olympic rider José Daniel Martín Dockx announced a new professional chapter as the technical and sports director of Hampton Green Farm in Ocala, Florida. Dockx leads a project dedicated to developing young P.R.E. horses up to Grand Prix level, with the goal of showcasing their talent on the international stage. Antonio Crespín’s arrival strengthens HGF’s competitive team, joining American riders Kerrigan Gluch and Justine Boyer. Dockx highlights: "Antonio’s addition to Hampton Green Farm is very important. He is a talented young rider in whom we have high expectations, and we hope he will achieve great successes while developing his career here." For Antonio: "This marks the start of an exciting new chapter full of challenges and learning. It motivates me to give my best and step outside my comfort zone," he says. New Mares Join the HGF Breeding Program
At Hampton Green Farm, broodmares are our backbone of the breeding program. With the goal of continuously improving the quality, diversity, and athletic potential of its PRE horses bred in the United States, HGF has expanded its broodmare program with the addition of several carefully selected mares from distinguished P.RE Breeders. Among the most notable additions is Carol de Susaeta (2022), a mare with exceptionalpedigree, by Poeta de Susaeta out of Sal de Susaeta by Digital. This lineage combines some of the most respected genetics in modern PRE breeding with Cacique IX and Oficial XXIX. The farm has also incorporated Naveganta FSR (2021), by Malagueño LXXXIII out of Indiscreta FSR by Joyero XXIV, reinforcing lines known for their quality of movement and rideability. Alongside her arrives Orgullosa FSR (2022), by Lucero CXLVII and out of Opositora IX by Selecto VI, another mare bringing strong genetic bases. Completing this group are two mares from the respected Nadales breeding lines: Financiera Nadales (2020) and Fandanguera Nadales (2020), both daughters of Egoísta A, out of Ajolí Nadales and Bodeguera Nadales respectively, both by Grandioso de Nadales. With these additions, Hampton Green Farm continues to invest in the future of U.S.-bred PRE horses, combining some of the most influential bloodlines of the breed with its established stallion base.
Santiago HGF Trains with Steffen Peters
We had the best kick-off of the season. Santiago HGF (Grandioso III x Joyero XXIV), ridden by Kerrigan Gluch, participated in a clinic with six-time U.S. Olympic rider Steffen Peters in Ocala. During the session, Peters shared his impressions and feedback on the young stallion, praising the quality and potential of this promising U.S.-bred PRE from the Hampton Green Farm “We had a wonderful time working with Kerrigan today and was really impressed with your with your boy; hat was fun. The first thing that comes to my mind is the temperament of the horse, you know just for a 5 year old to come to a new location and then just so settled and so willing to work with us it was just one of those lessons where you say you know what this is this is really fun. In general the impression of the horse is so important and the mouth was so quiet he does have a beautiful canter which is not always the case for this breed, he does have a good lengthening in trot, so it clearly would give me the impression that this is going to be a very special horse and potentially an international Horse.
HGF Celebrates Success at Fiesta Ocala / IBERICON 2025
In only its second year participating, Hampton Green Farm delivered an extraordinary performance at IBERICON 2025 / Fiesta Ocala, confirming the strength and consistency of our breeding program. The event, which brings together breeders, riders, and enthusiasts of Iberian horses from across the country and abroad, became a true showcase for the quality of horses bred and developed at HGF. In the morphology competition at Fiesta Ocala, Hampton Green Farm presented a group of young horses aged two to five years old, all bred at the farm. Under the presentation of spanish handler Diego González, HGF horses consistently placed at the top of their sections in both conformation and movement classes. Among the standouts were Don Destas HGF, crowned Young Horse Movement Champion of the Show, and Santiago HGF, who earned the titles of Adult Stallion Conformation Champion and Functionality Champion. The highlight of the week came when Hampton Green Farm was awarded “Best Breeder of the Show” by ANCCE, marking a historic achievement and a recognition of the farm’s growing influence in PRE breeding in the United States. With numerous section victories—Brígida HGF, Ferro HGF, Santiago HGF, and Borbón HGF among them and multiple special awards at Fiesta Ocala Success extended beyond the morphology ring. In the Iberian Cup dressage competition, Kerrigan Gluch riding Cartujano FSR captured the Small Tour title, delivering two strong performances with scores above 73%. Meanwhile, Olympic rider and new HGF Head Trainer José Daniel Martín Dockx contributed to the educational side of the event, offering a two-day clinic for riders and presenting a masterclass on the training system of the PRE horse, from young horse development to the Grand Prix level, featuring several HGF horses and riders.
José Daniel Martín Dockx Joins HGF
Hampton Green Farm is proud to announce the return of Olympic rider José Daniel Martín Dockx, who will join HGF as Head Trainer and Technical Director. Dockx will relocate to Ocala, where he will be based full-time in December to lead a new project focused on developing young horses through the Grand Prix level and expanding the international presence of HGF horses. “Our successes in Europe ten years ago and our collaboration with Dani and the Spanish team concluded naturally with the retirement of Grandioso,” said Kimberly Van Kampen, founder of Hampton Green Farm. “Since then, our focus has been on developing youth riders here at home, including my daughter, from early levels to successful U25 tours for Kerrigan and Sophia, who are now young Adult Grand Prix competitors. Meanwhile, we have continued to grow our breeding program in Ocala, producing competitive young horses and promising Grand Prix prospects. These horses will greatly benefit from Dani’s unique ability to develop them for international competition. We have high expectations for this next chapter and are thrilled to renew our partnership with him.” José Daniel Martín Dockx added, “I have reached an agreement with Hampton Green Farm, where I was previously involved, to start a new project—not as a rider, but as a trainer and technical director. I am very excited to return to this farm with which we achieved so many successes. It is a major change for my family and me as we relocate to Ocala, Florida, but it is a project I am passionate about and approach with great motivation. I hope it will bring successes beyond our borders and allow me to continue contributing my experience to the Spanish horse, achieving great accomplishments with this stable once again. The excitement and motivation have given us the strength for this change, which I am confident will bring many wonderful things in the future.” A new chapter begins — and we couldn’t be more excited! This new project represents the next step in Hampton Green Farm’s commitment to excellence, its breeding program, international growth, and the promotion of the PRE horse on U.S. soil. HGF Horses Shine at the North American Youth Championships 2025
Hampton Green Farm proudly celebrated the success of its U.S.-bred PRE horses at the 2025 Discover Dressage / FEI North American Youth Dressage Championships, held at Flintfields Horse Park. Over the years, HGF horses have achieved great success at the youth categories, such as Vaquero HGF ridden by Kerrigan Gluch ( YR/U25), as well as Campanero HGF along with Justine Boyer at the Junior level. NAYC is the prestigious event, one of the most important youth dressage competitions in North America. The pair also secured a podium finish in the Intermedia II, adding another achievement to their record ending in second position. Last but not least, Claire Barahona partnered with Morisco HGF (2013 gelding by Camarón IX x Mora HGF) claimed third place with a new personal best score of 71.096%. These results reflect Hampton Green Farm’s commitment to developing U.S.-bred PRE horses for modern dressage and our horses are perfect match for elite sport, and also for youth classes.

Justine Boyer and Campanero HGF sweep Junior CDI division at Hampton Green Farms WEC May Dressage CDI3* presented by Lugano Diamonds
Ocala, FL – Competition wrapped up on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Hampton Green Farms WEC May Dressage CDI3* presented by Lugano Diamonds. Winning all three of their classes this week were Justine Boyer (USA) and Campanero HGF in the Junior CDI division. Boyer and Campanero HGF, an 11-year-old PRE gelding by Camaron IX x Adelante owned by Hampton Green Farm, closed out their week with a win in the CDIJ Junior Freestyle with a top score of 72.250%. Laila Edwards (USA) and Farah-Jade, her own 14-year-old KWPN mare by Casantos x Gagson Wimborn AA, scored 68.442% for second place. Justine Boyer and Campanero HGF, her partner of five years, swept the CDIJ Junior division this week. Photo by Andrew Ryback Photography Campanero HGF is a home-bred, and Boyer has been riding the gelding for five years. They started at Training Level and went through to Third Level. This is their second year competing at the international level. Boyer, who is 17 years old, noted that their trust has grown throughout the years, and she has learned how to better manage her horse's spookiness. "He's a super caring and a willing horse to do the job. He wants to please you and make you happy," said Boyer. "He's tested me in a very good way with my riding. He was more advanced than I was when I started riding him. He taught me patience. He has feelings and is sensitive; he's an animal." Boyer and Campanero HGF performed their freestyle to the music of the movie "Moana." Photo by Andrew Ryback Photography The pair rode to a freestyle designed by Marlene Whitaker that featured music from the Disney movie "Moana." "This week we wanted to work on his trot work and get him to really come through and have him loosen up his neck while maintaining the activity," explained Boyer. "The freestyle went pretty well. I could have ridden few of the changes better. What we wanted to work on today was accomplished. It definitely helped our confidence in a few of the different movements." This is their third CDI Freestyle this year as they work toward their goal of qualifying for the Region 3 team for the 2024 FEI North American Youth Championships as well as the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions. Boyer thanked her entire team at Hampton Green Farm, along with her trainer, Maria Lithander, and her parents for their support. Charlotte Osborne (GBR) and Escada RB, a 10-year-old Rheinlander mare by Escolar x Fidertanz owned by Chantelle Noble, scored a personal best of 69.500% to top the Intermediate I Freestyle CDI1*. Justine Boyer successfully defends her title at the Florida Youth Dressage Championships at World Equestrian Center – Ocala
Ocala, FL – World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) hosted the 2024 Florida Youth Dressage Championships and a pair of back-to-back rated shows Dressage I on March 14-15 and Dressage II on March 16-17. Sponsored by Hampton Green Farms and Discover Dressage, the events held classes from Training Level to FEI Grand Prix and served as official qualifying competitions for the 2024 Great American/USDF Regional Championships. The Florida Youth Dressage Championships, which was created in 2013, returned to WEC for the second year in a row. It is designed to be more than just a competition and offers participants — all aspiring young dressage riders — a rounded, enriching experience as well as the chance to show in a championship atmosphere. Events were held throughout the week to boost camaraderie and sportsmanship, including a meet-and-greet with U.S. Dressage Team rider Shelly Francis and former Florida Youth Dressage Championship rider Kerrigan Gluch. Justine Boyer and Campanero HGF won the junior division and were named overall champions at the Florida Youth Dressage Championships. Photo by Andrew Ryback Photography Junior rider Justine Boyer, 17, successfully defended her 2023 champion’s title, securing the 2024 sash with the same horse, Hampton Green Farms’ home-bred 11-year-old PRE gelding, Campanero HGF. Entrants competed in two straight tests (the team and individual tests), each comprising 40% of the final mark, and then a freestyle to music (20%). Boyer scored 69.167%, 68.75% and then 71.762% in the freestyle for a final mark of 69.519%. The overall reserve champion accolade went to the Young Rider Franki Kesner. She rode her own 11-year-old Glock’s Johnson gelding Il Divo to 66.397%, 67.794% and 70.313% to finish on 67.739%. With strong scores and a victory in the young rider division, Franki Kesner and Il Divo were the reserve overall champions. Photo by Andrew Ryback Photography “It’s quite the honor to be the champion again,” said Boyer, whose mother Kim Van Kampen owns Hampton Green Farms. “It’s been a long journey with this horse. I’ve been riding him since he was seven, going through the different trials of showing together, and he was very spooky in the beginning. I’ve grown up with him leading the way but this show in particular was a game-changer because I got to show him the way. “We’ve built a better trust, and we’re a team now. He’s not so hesitant toward my ideas and believes in me more. Getting to ride such a nice horse at a young age has been very practical for me,” continued Boyer, who trains with Hampton Green Farms’ head trainer, Maria Lithander. “This season we decided to work in the double bridle and ask more of the hindlegs than previously, and ride more forward in the movements,” added Boyer. “We play around with his social life as he’s pretty spooky, so we get him out in the paddock with other horses, and he goes out on the track — anything to expose him and to try to get him to focus on what he’s doing rather than where he is.” Boyer rode to a freestyle based on the movie “Moana,” put together by Marlene Whitaker, who also helped devise the floorplan. It included flying changes on a 20-meter circle in the middle of the arena and extended trots straight into shoulder-in, highlighting the horse’s adjustability. “I had never ridden a freestyle in other classes, and there isn’t one in Children, and I skipped ponies because I didn’t have one,” explained Boyer. “So this was my first inside look at what freestyles are all about, and Marlene was very helpful with finding Campanero’s strengths and weaknesses and complementing his talent. “My hopes for this show were to not surprise him or ask more than at other shows and keep him level-headed and happy,” added Boyer, who is based 10 minutes from WEC. “Riding him when I was 13 was the first glimpse into what a nice horse felt like. I’m very grateful that I get to ride such a magnificent horse.” In the Pony division, Texas-based Alexandra Garvey was another to defend her title, having also taken the accolade in 2023. She put in three solid performances (65%, 68.716% and 67.1%) to finish on a final score of 66.906%. She was riding Unscripted, who is 19 years old and was a Dressage4Kids donation. The under-25 rider Eva Farrell rode Yvonne Barteau’s 14-year-old Nadal De Susaeta, a PRE stallion by Cubanon. She logged results at Intermediate II, Grand Prix and Freestyle to top the division with a final score of 62.913%. In the rated shows, Adult Amateur (AA) Erin Walker rode seven tests on four different horses and won five of them. Her highest score of the weekend, 71.324%, was achieved on Craig McCallum’s 10-year-old Jeune Star Van Kairos, a KWPN gelding by Five Star, in the Intermediate I, where she finished second. The class was won by Bonnie Canter on a score of 72.353%. Canter rode her own eight-year-old 15.2hh Vilancio gelding Vitali, with whom she is the current Fourth Level AA US Dressage Finals champion. James Koford posted two wins at Grand Prix level, riding Christina Morin-Graham’s 12-year-old Charmeur gelding, Hatsije B, to 67.394% and 68.152%. They began in international grand prix together last year, and have already logged three CDI wins. Major Donation of Hampton Green Farm to Lilley Cares Announced
Kimberly Van Kampen, Spring Lake resident and entrepreneur, announced today that she will donate her 185-acre equestrian property, Hampton Green Farm, in Fruitport to Lilley Cares, the Spring Lake nonprofit founded in 2020. The turn-over will be complete by mid-summer 2024 when all Hampton Green horses will move south to Ocala, Florida where Van Kampen is establishing a new location for them. Founded in 1997, Hampton Green Farm has been home to a world-class PRE (Pura Raza Española) breeding program and training facility, and has been a fixture in Fruitport for over 20 years. In recent years, the farm has served as a venue for local nonprofits to use as a place to hold its events and galas. The farm has also been a center of equestrian training and sport, focusing on young riders, holding multiple clinics and horse shows. "During the recession when nonprofits began to struggle, I felt there was more we could do to get them through those tough times," said Ms Van Kampen. She and her team developed a program called “On The House” to invite nonprofits to the farm and hold their annual events. Ms Van Kampen and her family foundation paid most of the expenses to allow nonprofits to continue to meet their mission, and get through the lean times. That program is still active at Hampton Green albeit less active. "We had events every single summer weekend for a long time," said Ms Van Kampen, "and it was amazingly successful. This was the seed for our plan today: to continue to serve both the equestrian and the nonprofit community but turning over the keys to a nonprofit close to my heart who understands the efforts and will keep it alive." The executive director of Lilley Cares is Joan Mack who was the business manager at Hampton Green until she retired in 2018. Ms Mack not only understands the "On The House" program, but she managed it in those early busy years. "I am excited to manage this farm I love so much, and know so well, as well as continue the mission we had when we started our nonprofit efforts in 2008," said Ms Mack. "I plan to bring horses back -- not Hampton Green horses of course, but horses from other programs, and see horses grazing these fields again." It will be the mission of Lilley Cares to keep the farm as a nonprofit organization, according to Ms Mack, serving the nonprofit community. "Of course, to keep the lawns mowed and the lights on we will host weddings here as well as take on boarders in the barns," said Mack, "but our overall mission will be as 501c3 serving other charities." Ms Van Kampen has bred the Spanish horse PRE with major success, sending her horse Grandioso to two Olympics, London and in Rio de Janeiro. Hampton Green Farm has a second location in Ocala, Florida where Ms Van Kampen has decided to focus her future breeding and competition efforts. "It is time to focus on one location and Ocala with its World Equestrian Center will be the place for me and my horses and team to direct our work toward our continued goals of world-class breeding and dressage competition. Two large farms over 1300 miles apart has stretched our resources and I decided that staying in Ocala and expanding our farm here is best for me and my family." Ms Van Kampen reports that her investments of time and treasure in Spring Lake will continue. "I have a beloved home in Spring Lake," she said, "and my family gathers here annually. I will never leave West Michigan completely. The difference is that my horses won't need to go back and forth, I can come to Michigan and enjoy my time here and not work quite so hard." She continued: "Donating Hampton Green Farm to Lilley Cares is the culmination of a dream of mine: turning this beautiful farm into a nonprofit venue and a place to work with our local charities who do so much for this community. This decision is so much better than selling the property and losing its mission." The plan, according to Hampton Green Farm representatives, is to invite other nonprofit equestrian organizations to come to HGF and hold events, to bring their people together to focus on their mission, as well as continuing to offer the farm and a place for events and clinics. "We've had some great events out here," said Ms Van Kampen, "some have been coming every year for over 10 years. We want to keep those relationships alive and healthy." Lilley Cares will take over management of the farm in the summer of 2024. Nonprofits interested in holding events at Hampton Green Farm are encouraged to contact Joan Mack through the Lilley Cares website. "We don't have all the details in place yet," reported Mack, "but we hope to be ready to host events by July 2024." HGF keeps bringing excellence at the WEC during the CDI3*
May1st. A phenomenal week of International equestrian competition concluded on Sunday, April 16th at WEC. Emotions had run high last weekend for HGF TEAM , we are still on a cloud nine. Justine and Campanero HGF started the week closing the podium on CDI Juniors Team Test with a personal best of 66.313. On Sunday , she collected the title of Freestyle Winner with an overall score of 73.067%. She chose her signature Moana’s music with an exciting choreography to make her freestyle stand out. We are over the moon with these results. In a space of three/four months, Justine and Campanero have climbed and in their five international outings, three of them have been victories. Last but not least, Kerrigan and Mejorano HGF have been unstoppable this winter season. The Kick-Off of the CDI3* Ocala was excellent with third place of Kerrigan Gluch and Mejorano HGF on THE GP Qual. for GPFS (67.913%). The icing on the cake came on Friday Under The Lights during the Freestyles. This duo danced to the Spanish melodies of “La Mancha” and after the first extended trot, the shouts and ovations sprung from the bleachers. “We did that on purpose for the Freestyle to start strong, and I think it helped us,” revealed Gluch. “In a way, [the crowd support] takes the stress away a little bit. Not that you want to be distracted, but the crowd likes this, so I get to enjoy it even more than I already am. It makes me relax a bit. I like the feedback.”“I really wanted to go show him off,” said Kerrigan of the 12-year-old PRE gelding by Grandioso x Galan XVI owned by Hampton Green Farm. “I always put a little pressure on myself to do the best I can, but I try not to put that on him. I think I was able to do that tonight, which led to a good score and good test. I think I rode well, and he performed really well.” As the crowd favorite of the night, Kerrigan Gluch Mejorano HGF closed the podium with a personal best score of 74.755% HGF keeps bringing excellence in Dressage. Special thank you to all the team, but most of all to Maria Lithander for being our backbone and outstanding trainer.
Justine Boyer claims the Florida Youth Dressage Junior Title
World Equestrian Center – Ocala played host to back-to-back rated shows Dressage I (March 8-10) and Dressage II (March 11-12) as well as the 2023 Florida Youth Dressage Championships. Sponsored by Hampton Green Farm and Discover Dressage, the show held classes from Training Level to FEI Grand Prix and served as an official qualifying competition for the 2023 Great American/USDF Regional Championships. After a Covid-induced pause of two years, the Florida Youth Dressage Championships (FYDC) returned in 2023 with healthy entries. This was the first time that the Championships, created in 2013, were held at WEC – Ocala. The show is more than just a competition and gave the 20 participants — all aspiring young dressage riders — a rounded, enriching experience and the chance to show in a championship atmosphere. Events were held throughout the week to boost camaraderie and sportsmanship, including a meet-and-greet with Anna Marek and former Florida Youth Dressage Championship rider Kerrigan Gluch. Entrants in the Junior and Pony divisions competed in two straight tests (the team and individual tests), each one comprising 40% of the final mark, and then a freestyle to music (20%). For the Young Rider, Children and Under-25 divisions, it was a 50/50 weighting of two straight tests, with no freestyle. Galloping in a new category, Justine claimed for the second time in her career this title. With our home-bred 10-year-old Campanero HGF ( Camaron IX out of Quintera XII by Adelante), her scores were 70.455%, 69.485% and 68.013%. Justine not only won the junior title, but also the overall youth champion title (highest Score) “This show is especially fun because I get to compete with other junior riders and get to know them, and maybe in the future we will get to be teammates at North American Youth Championships,” said Boyer, who came out on top of the nine combinations in the Junior division. “Showing here at WEC is definitely amazing. We’ve worked a lot to get Campanero to not be so spooky, and this is the show where he really outdid himself and wasn’t spooky, so it was really nice. We’ve been together for four years working up toward juniors. It’s been interesting to get to ride an advanced horse at a young age,” added Boyer, who has won all six international tests she has entered with Campanero since they began competing at CDIs in September 2022. Thank you all the Team of HGF for making this possible, but specially Maria Lithander for endless support, teaching and guidance .
